As the card at my seat for Thanksgiving dinner prompted me to think about what I was thankful for, I realized that I couldn’t fit it all into a few lines. Since Thanksgiving is all about food, as is this blog, I decided I could post pictures of our phenomenal Thanksgiving meal, write about everything I am thankful for and, therefore, pass it off as a blog post. Feel free to keep reading my sappy thoughts (holidays always make me sentimental) or just drool at all of the delicious food (if you’re not too stuffed yourself).
This year, as with every year, I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for my husband, who encourages me to be my best, makes me laugh when I am at my worst and loves me through this crazy, adventure of a life we’re living. I am thankful for our energetic and fun-loving dog, Archie, who forces me to take him running almost every day and brings more unconditional love and laughter to our house than I ever thought possible. I am thankful for my family, who supports and loves us from afar and, occasionally, makes the long journey out to Oki to visit. I am thankful for friends that have become my family and the technology available to stay in touch, even though we live thousands of miles away.
I am thankful for my job, as well as Colin’s, because, as challenging as they both can be, they give us the opportunity to help others while doing something that we love. I am thankful for this gorgeous island that we live on and the ability to explore a part of the world that I never thought I would get to see.

I am thankful for the food on our plates, both on Thanksgiving and every day, and the gift I have been given to share my love of food with all of you.
Most importantly, I am thankful for a gracious and loving God, who continues to fill our lives with blessings every day. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
